    I was on a long car ride with my dad once, and I played him some of my playlists. He asked me where I knew so many great songs from, and I basically listed every tv show and movie that ever introduced me to a great tune. God bless STTNG for getting me here. 💜💛

      The lip bends he used, especially in the 1950s ... so tasty and effortless. Summertime (1955) is the classic example.

    Listen to them play our song How they shock my poor brain with that electric refrain I hear a buzzin', just like a dozen doorbells Everytime I hear our song I get weak in the knees my heart pumps up a breeze Sending a stream to every extremity Parts of my anatomy are not controlled by me The music's magic spell Leaves me a mess of quivering jelly Even on a violin How those sweet dulcet tones pull marrow out of my bones I must confess, it leaves me a mess, our song

    in the Bruce Weber film, there is a clip of his former girlfriend, Ruth Young a jazz singer, singing this song. Does anyone know if this exists, recorded? It is perfection.

      @montmorency1950 5 лет назад

      There must be but Ruth sings most of Chet's songs in her album "This Is Always" (see RUclips). Otherwise you'll just have record the clip from the Bruce Weber film.

    It is so nice to read so many euthusiastic comments about this Enrico Pieranunzi composition with Chet Baker. Please check out also this rare live video of the same song played in Italy in 1980, possibly just before it was recorded in studio for the Soft Journey album: ruclips.net/video/AUZ8hQzoAXg/видео.html
